Back from Hangzhou. I returned to Singapore last Tuesday, and since then I’ve been keeping myself pretty busy. It’s strange sometimes, that a person’s presence (or the lack of it) can change so much the way we go about our daily lives. I really enjoyed the short amount of time I spent in Hangzhou with Dy. I really wished I could stay longer. If it wasn’t for school and other commitments, would I have stayed? Yes. Had it been the holidays, I may have very well just stayed there right till the end of the hols.
*sigh* For now, I should use this time and work towards achieving my goals. I have a project to complete (KYDZ), a test to study for (Statistics: got to catch up on the lessons I missed!) and a long to-do list (that’s getting pretty dusty) to settle (blog and website updates, photo editing, Dreamstime submissions which I haven’t touched in many months, and other little things that I keep procrastinating about).
And of course, there’s the little bit about money (mostly the lack of it). I have some IOUs to clear off, and lots of goals in mind that require the moolah that makes the world go round. Have been looking around for a part-time job with really flexible working hours (or better yet, with an option to work-from-home). Preferably IT-related, as in setting up PCs, networks, troubleshooting, that sort of thing (not so much sales, I’m really bad at that). And I’m about to embark on certain money-making projects (more on that later). Anyone got lobang? Working hours preferably in the afternoons on Mondays till Wednesdays (and on occasional mornings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays).
So, how do you pronounce “messrs”? Have been looking at names recently, trying to find a suitable one, and one that sounds trendy. The word “messrs” definitely got my interest. I think I first came across it in one of the Harry Potter books. Messrs is the plural form for Mr. It’s a little awkward, but I think it could work. itMessrs. Yeah. (Although only because itGuys was taken).
Oh, its pronounced m
s
rz. Have a listen at TFD.
It’s also about time I got kalestarler.com fully up and running. Photo gallery would be important, it would serve as a photography portfolio as well, web design portfolio would be very important, would really like to take on more projects.
Oh, I just bought a Wacom Bamboo Fun (small). Played around with it last night, it’s pretty interesting. A powerful tool, once I get used to it (still a little awkward at the moment) I should be able to get a lot more work done, and at the same time explore a few new areas of design now that I have a tablet. Would have loved to get the larger Intuos or the Cintiq, or a Tablet PC notebook (HP has a great one with student discount), but, what’s the word again? Moolah.
Ok, got to go. Lots of stuff to do. Cheers. I’ll update with photos again sometime soon (no promises though).
P.S What’s up with today’s entry? So many parentheses. Hehe.
