My gf’s Show Desktop icon was missing:
Fixed it in less than a minute. If the general PC user would learn to use Google, us tech support peeps wouldn’t have so much to do.
Just started playing it. One thing to note, can’t stand all the needless deaths! I’m playing a Human Warrior, and the parents died, the brother’s wife and child died, the king died, the mentor died… So many pointless deaths! Grrrr. But I must admit, very immersive gameplay. I can really become a fan of BioWare games. Loved KOTOR 1 and 2, loving this. Should try Mass Effect next, although I hear DA:O is going to take me well over a hundred hours, excluding the expansion.
So my WoW subscription just renewed on the 21st. Ughh. Should have stopped it I suppose? I barely touched it since a couple weeks before Chinese New Year. Around 2 months of wasted monthly payments. Perhaps I should at least get my dailies done. Hhhmmmm.
Fixing an issue at Uptrend Yishun: an intermittent internet connection. So I’m over there messing around with the new 3COM 3CRWDR101A Gateway’s settings, trying to figure out what exactly is causing the problem.
Then suddenly I’m even disconnected from the damn router settings page. And when I try to refresh it, 192.168.1.1 leads me to the login page of a Linksys WAG54G2 gateway. WTH? No seriously. What?!
I couldn’t understand it. I kept restarting things here and there, even updated the firmware. But it kept occurring.
I finally changed the SSID and added WPA encryption. Now everything seems fine. So far, anyway.
So my conclusion: is there some arse nearby with a WAG54G2 setup to the old “uptrend” SSID? And somehow the network can get confused, treating that one as the gateway instead?

I’m really bad at exams. I can’t concentrate on studying at all. Never have. At least not in a long, long time.
What would it take, for me to be able to settle down and at least properly read all my notes? There’s just so much going through my head all the time.
A dreamer indeed.
I definitely prefer practical work. I rather be doing my FYP now.

I’m visualizing loads of stuff in my head as usual, but this time I really have to carry them out. All those ideas, those dreams, imagination on overdrive; but this time I’m sharing ideas with people. They aren’t just my dreams alone anymore. I want to do some big things for my FYP. Hey, it’s now or never. Dreams that I wanted to accomplish from long ago, that time and time again got pushed down because of procrastination, laziness, other priorities, now it’s the perfect time to try them out, maybe even really successfully complete them.
Time to borrow that Lightwave book again. Or perhaps try out Maya? And Torque Torque Torque… I need to go shopping for some books soon.
Woops. Am I neglecting something? Exams in 4 days! Got to set some time aside to study too. Honestly, I haven’t been studying for a very long time now. I miss the days when I really mugged for papers. Like wayyyyyy back in first term. I feel like I’ve been free-wheeling for the past two-and-a-half years. On the practical side though, there were quite a few times that I did work pretty hard, and enjoyed it to some extent. Anyway, these are my last two module papers. No more exams after this, it will just be purely FYP.
Right then. Sleep? Work some more? Read Foxtrot? (I love Foxtrot comics. Miss reading them!)
