Just opened one with the minimum SGD50 monthly contribution. This is an automated savings scheme. Otherwise I will never save! Hehe. Most opinions online don’t think much of this account because the interest rates aren’t really much to hype about, but the point is that it is an automated savings scheme that deducts from your main account on a specified date every month. Forces you to save, which is exactly what I need.
Also got my new DBS Debit Card today, the one with the 0.3% Cashback. Going to drop my CapitaCard one once the pending transactions are through. Since the annual fee waiver is ending and I don’t get any benefits from the Capita$ anyway. 0.3% Cashback isn’t much, but it is better than nothing…
